Akosua Abdallah

Akosua Abdallah is currently the Director for Community Education and Youth Development (CEYD ), a cultural agency of the National Commission of Culture (NCC) of Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture in Ghana. She is the current President of International Theatre Institute (ITI) in Ghana and also the former Deputy Artistic Director of the National Theatre of Ghana. She holds MFA Theatre Arts and PhD Arts and Culture degrees from Ghana and does part-time lecturing with the University of Education, Winneba, Ghana.Akosua Abdallah is currently the Director for Community Education and Youth Development (CEYD ), a cultural agency of the National Commission on Culture (NCC) of the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture in Ghana.

She is the current President of International Theatre Institute (ITI) in Ghana and also the former Deputy Artistic Director of the National Theatre of Ghana.

She holds MFA Theatre Arts and PhD Arts and Culture degrees from Ghana. She serves on the governing council of African University College of Communication.

She has a great career as a performing artist and presently as a cultural advocate facilitates transcultural collaborations and conversations that promotes peaceful coexistence and sustainable employment for creative artists.

Mohamed Abdallah, Playwright Of The Slaves

Pan-Africanism and activism were part of his family values which he later expressed in theatre as Abibigoro. He holds an MFA (University of Georgia) and PhD (University of Texas).

Ben Abdallah was the main proponent of national cultural policy. He remained a prolific playwright even as a minister of various portfolios, covering education, tourism, information, religion, and culture.

He authored Verdict of the Cobra, The fall of Kumbi , Land of Million Magicians, The Slaves, Witch of Mopti, Trail of Mallam Ilya and Song of a Pharaoh which would be launched in July 2022.

His work reflects the intertwined political and artistic orders of post-independence Africa.
